Welcome, parent! Helping your teen gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to stay safe on the roads is an incredible gift that will last a lifetime. We have several packages for you to choose from and are happy to answer any questions you may have.

Education and Training

For New Drivers Without a Permit

Your teen is at least 14.5 years old and has already completed the mandatory 30 hours of education, whether it was online or in a classroom. You want them to get their permit safely while learning the right skills and creating good habits from day one.

MasterDrive gets them to the finish line with skills and experience that save lives. Once you make your choice, just click “Enroll Now” to be taken to our quick student registration page. Then just click on “Proceed to Checkout” to complete your purchase on our secure checkout page. After we process your registration, you’ll be contacted by one of our parent coaches to help you get scheduled. Easy!

If you DO still need the mandatory training, no problem! Just click here.

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) recently announced its newest service, online Driving Knowledge testing, which gives Coloradans the ability to test for an instruction permit online at any time, anywhere, no appointment needed as long as they have internet access and a working webcam. Driving Knowledge Tests are often called written or permit tests colloquially.

Previously, aspiring drivers had to schedule a visit to a State driver license office to take a Driving Knowledge Test or do so through a driving school, but that’s no longer the case with the @Home Driving Knowledge testing application as long as they have an internet-connected computer and a webcam. Colorado will continue to offer the in-office service as well.

Any Coloradan old enough to test for an instruction permit can take an @Home Driving Knowledge Test by completing pre-registration at myDMV.Colorado.gov.

WHAT OUR STUDENTS LEARN

On Street Lessons

Your student spends time behind the wheel under the guidance of one of our expert driving coaches. They are able to practice necessary skills and gain confidence as they earn hours they need to get licensed. This training time includes things like negotiating traffic, parallel parking, and proper techniques. Our instructors are called coaches because they don't just tell a student what to do. They guide them, give feedback, and know exactly how to instill the confidence each student needs.

Skid Camp

A 2-hour Skid Camp is designed to teach your student  lifesaving skills like skid control, safe vehicle handling in a hydroplaning situation or in poor weather conditions.

Unlike our competitors, we utilize a proprietary skid pad that allows students to safely experience, be coached through, and recover from a skid or a hydroplaning event.

Please note that students need to use a family vehicle for our driving camps.

Skills Driving Camp

Our 6-hour Skills Driving Camp gives drivers foundational defensive driving skills. Students learn dynamic car control, crash avoidance, crisis breaking, and how to safely perform emergency lane changes.

Our instruction gives students the confidence and mastery to understand the mechanics of what to do in a crisis situation and having an automatic, split-second response to a dangerous situation.

Parent Coaching Kit ($79 value!)

The MasterDrive Parent Coaching Kit provides a solution for the challenging process of equipping your teen driver with the skills they need to stay safe on the road. Rather than just putting your child in your car, going onto the street, and hoping for the best, our Coaching Kit creates a framework and introduces strategies you can use in parallel to the additional coaching your child receives through our company.
